A ceramic coating is a sacrificial layer of protection for your vehicle. This layer serves to prevent surface-level damage to your clearcoat, including oxidation, swirls, and shallow scratches. Professional-grade ceramic coatings offer supreme protection from the elements, making it easier to clean your vehicle and maintain a “like new“ appearance. Ceramic coatings also offer extreme gloss, shine, and depth of color.

Ceramic coatings can be used to protect the exterior paint, metal, glass, and trim, as well as interior plastic, rubber, vinyl, leather, and carpets. This makes interior ceramics particularly good for family vehicles.

Ceramic Coatings can be used on almost any vehicle! Weekend-warrior sports cars need protection just as much as daily-driver mom vans. Any vehicle can have an interior ceramic applied to provide long-term protection from sun fade, stains, or spills. Likewise, any vehicle can be protected from hazy oxidation, swirl marks, and nasty bug etchings. The safest bet is to apply a ceramic coating to a brand-new vehicle, but not everyone buys their vehicles new and that’s okay. Exterior defects like swirl marks, shallow etchings, oxidation, and water spots can often be removed through a process called paint correction. Once the surface of the paint or glass is corrected, ceramic coatings have the best chance to bond to the surface and last as long as possible. However, paint correction doesn’t have to be performed to apply a ceramic coating. As long as the clear coat isn’t failing completely (bubbling or peeling up), ceramics can be applied over surface-damaged areas without compromising the durability of the coating. It may not look showroom ready, but your vehicle will be protected all the same.

Ceramic coatings protect your car inside and out, but they don’t make dirt and grime magically disappear. Your vehicle will still need to be washed, vacuumed, and wiped down to remove dust, dirt, oils, and road contaminants to keep your vehicle looking like new and prevent degradation of the coating.
